This is the third and last Meters album to feature that really raw, early seventies sound. Pure dirty, exactly how it should be.

Apparat Organ Quartet
Apparat Organ Quartet has grown into a phenomenal force, playing soul-stringly portentous mechanical music, equal parts progressive rock and horror film soundtrack, reminiscent of older acts like Kraftwerk and Goblin and meticulous as Sigur Ros but who sound nothing like it.

Portishead Third
Bristol-based Portishead were one of the most influential British groups of the 1990s. With 1994's Dummy and 1997's self-titled album they came to define a genre called "trip-hop", combining downtempo electronica, jazz and Beth Gibbons' tremulous, despairing vocals. Third is the sort of thing you'd expect to hear just before a hired gun played by Lee Van Cleef accidentally shoots an innocent child. Go support.....

Damu The Fudgemunk Spare Time
Damu the Fudgemunk, who doubles as half of the group Y Society, dug into his vaults to compile this previously unheard collection of vintage beats. Spare Time breaks us off with crispy, sampled drums and intricately chopped to death samples destined to keep heads nodding and mp3 players rumbling until the next release. More than a mere beat snippet compilation, Spare Time presents full length tracks that showcase masterful low pass filtering and phenomenal breakdowns, many of which occur at the very end of the track. Definitely the remedy for what a beat head really craves.

Animal Collective Strawberry Jam
Strawberry Jam is the eighth full-length album by new york-based Animal Collective. Animal Collective take everything you thought you knew about music and shape, shift, warp it in every possible way imaginable while still keeping the accesability of it intact. the vocals are clearer, the songs are lush with samples and electronic beeps, and the melodies are better and more surprising than ever.

The Flashbulb Soundtrack To A Vacant Life
A quote from the artist.......
"With over two years in the making, the release that out lived it's original record label is finally here. Benn Jordan gracefully departs from his boundaries in electronica and delivers what some critics are already calling an instant classic. With it's impeccable production and orchestral performances; this epic, cinematic, and audibly breath-taking release will tell a story you won't forget."

Dan Deacon Spiderman Of The Rings
Avant-garde electronic composer Dan Deacon's 'Spiderman Of The Rings' LP showcases his ability for manipulating technology to his melodic advantage. His music is constructed from primarily electronic sounds, but benefits from his own voice and occasional acoustic instruments. Deacon is a prominent member of the burgeoning absurdist music community in Baltimore, and studied electro-acoustic composition under notable composition tutor Joel Thome.

Ghost Seldom Seen Often Heard
Seldom Seen Often Heard is a great release which certainly is a complete album. It's easily as good as the other recent producer albums such as Baby J's 'F.T.P', DJ First Rate's 'Walky Talkyz' and Blufoot's 'The Ablution'. Ghost has firmly established himself at the top end of UK hiphop production and is clearly on his way to larger fan bases and projects.
Jazz Liberatorz Clin D'oeil
The Jazz Liberatorz are a French hip hop production team. They consist of DJ Damage, Dusty and Madhi. This, their first album, is a tribute to "the golden age of hip hop." This is definitely fit for the captains table.

Rambo
Rambo is living a monastic lifestyle in Bangkok and salvaging old PT boats and tanks for scrap metal. When a group of volunteers bringing supplies into Burma disappears, a relative of one of the missing missionaries begs Rambo to find them. He heads off with a team of young guns determined to rescue those that have been taken. This is classic rambo "live for nothing....or die for something!"

Mash SF
Mash is a Michael Martin and Gabe Morford film which captures fixed geared riders unique approach within San Francisco's demanding descents. It's these descents which create the fearless lines and clever navigation in split second timing, weaving through traffic and pedestrians alike on bikes that are built for the track yet have been tailored for this daily abuse. Along with the riding the filming must be applauded too. It's the techniques and risk taking that gives the viewers an experience that you too are involved in this sprint. From squeezing through the heavy traffic to the once pedestrians morphed into blurred visions.

Bullion Pet Sounds In The Key Of Dee
Bullion is a London based producer whose inspiration for this project comes from two solid albums in the form of Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and J Dilla's Repertoire. With it's mash up style and samples Bullion manages to mix this with amazing results. The idea behind the project may not be original (Danger Mouse with the Grey Album) but Bullion has created something that rolls over his American counterparts efforts with ease. Surely after this the mainstream beckons?
